LONG DESCRIPTION
FlyFall is an endless arcade game with a focus on simple, customizable gameplay. In FlyFall, players assume the role of a bird and must weave through a series of gates in order to avoid crashing, score points, and collect coins. The gates are located at random x-positions, so players must move their bird left and right by tilting their device. Additionally, the gates are closed by default, and can only be opened for a short amount of time with a tap of the screen. This tap must be timed perfectly, or a player’s bird will crash into the gate and fall. As a player flies, he or she can collect coins and rack up points in order to set a new high score.
With the coins they earn, players can go to the in-game shop to unlock new birds, gates, and themes. There are over 20 birds and over 15 gates and themes to unlock. These unlocks cause only aesthetic changes (except for the Golden Bird, which causes coins to be worth double) and do not affect gameplay. Some examples of birds are: astronaut, zombie, football, and robot. Some examples of gates are: castle, asteroid, death ray, and sword. Some examples of themes are: space, winter, ocean, and lunch.
One of the most interesting aspects of FlyFall is customization. After a player has unlocked new birds, gates, and themes, he or she can choose one of each to play with every game. This feature allows players to “mix and match” items for a truly personalized experience. Some very interesting and strange combinations are possible. In total, players can mix and match birds, gates, and themes for over 1,400 combinations.
