Developers of Akatsuki Taiwan Inc. are giving the music game genre a new twist with The Beaters.
From the initial outlook of The Beaters, the game takes on a cute and approachable art style. Yet, nothing about this game is easy and it is ridiculously challenging.
As long as there are two matching spheres connected, you can tap on them to eliminate it as long as it is to the beat of the music. The more consecutive successful taps, the higher your combos and the higher the damage that you can deal to enemies. Where the game gets challenging is with each successful tap, the tempo of the game gets faster and faster to a point where it's almost impossible to keep up.
Released for iOS and Android, The Beaters combines elements of the puzzle and music games with a dash of RPG elements and offers something that is both familiar and enticing. You get to collect new allies after each game which helps you on your next game.
