Story:
Bad Taste is a loving send up, and homage of trash cinema, and exploitation films. The story revolves around a jaded police officer "Chet" (Spencer Rice), as he tries to escape the city of Victoria BC before it's nuked to eradicate a mutant zombie epidemic caused by genetically modified fast food. The game obviously taking it's title and some inspiration from the Peter Jackson film of the same name.

Game Features:

Gameplay:
Gameplay is centered around "restricted combat", as each level will only allow the player to select 1 firearm, 1 melee, and 1 item to assist them through the stage from the pool of weapons/items the player has already unlocked. Certain firearms make noise, and will attract more zombies if shot, and some items are better suited to fighting some enemies than others, so the player will need to decide how to approach each level to maximize their score.
*In the future, the game will be expanded to include additional character campaigns, as well as random enemy encounters, more weapons, and survivors to rescue, plus Co-op.

Spencer Rice is the co-star of the mega hit gemini nominated T.V. show Kenny Vs Spenny, as well as the director and star of Confessions of a Porn Addict, and X-Rayted.
Spenny lends his comedic talent, voice and likeness to Bad Taste, as the playable Character "Chet".

Kenny Hotz (Dialogue Actor, & Co-Star of Bad Taste)
Kenny Hotz is the co-star of the mega hit gemini nominated T.V. show Kenny Vs Spenny, and has written for South Park, he also created and starred in the T.V. show Triumph of the Will.
Additional credits include, a role in Kevin Smith's "Zack and Miri Make a Porno", as well as a recent role in the horror comedy "The Chickening".

Lloyd Kaufman (Dialogue Actor, supporting role in Bad Taste)
Considered by many to be the king of Trash Cinema, Lloyd Kaufman has supported several independent filmmakers through Troma, the film studio he founded. He has hundreds of supporting, and cameo roles in several films, including Slither, and Guardians of the Galaxy.
Lloyd also directed the cult classics The Toxic Avenger, and Poultrygiest, and is responsible for the invaluable indie filmmaker bible Make Your Own Damn Movie.

Lodger (Music, and soundtrack)
The Finnish band lodger has created several viral music video's including I Love Death, their music has been featured on MTV, as well as the Califonication soundtrack.

Celx Requin (Producer, creator, lead game designer, & scriptwriter)
Celx Requin has over 5 years in flash development, with many of his personal digital comic projects released for free on newgrounds (http://www.celx-requin.newgrounds.com).
Celx's work has been featured in Rue Morgue Magazine, and Scream Horror Mag, as well he has received commendations from newgrounds.com for his digital comic projects including the Newgrounds "critics pick" for his 2010 project Cooljaw.

A self taught programmer Alex has years of experience experimenting in C++, and has taken over the duties of our prior programmer Mike Heavenor, who helped design the engine for the game.
Why our project matters:
Bad Taste is a return to form for 2D gaming, it's not meant to reinvent the wheel, but it is meant to be among the best of it's kind in the genre, that will hopefully reinvigorate not only classic 2D animation, but also the trash cinema we all love.
Bad Taste preserves and captures the raw politically incorrect spirit of exploitation films, the game has been influenced by everything from The Toxic Avenger, to more modern cult classics like Slither.
It's also unique in that the game is very Canadian focused, it stars two Canadian comedy legends (Kenny and Spenny), it takes place in Victoria, and surrounding parts of Vancouver island, and the majority of the staff is Canadian.
